Adjustable Shin Support Height/ Foot Straps
One pair of stilts for multiple users! Yes that is now an option. Many troupes and schools have requested a system in which the stilts can be shared. We have been supplying those for a couple of years now and have worked thru the design process. A heel plate is added to our standard footplate (Size 8 women’s or Size 10 men’s) A simple criss cross of a heavy duty 1” Polypro Webbing thru 4 D-rings over the shoe secures you to the footplate. This option is best used in simple parading around and not recommended for acro stilting or floor work. It is recommended that you bolt your shoes to the footplate for those heavier uses.
Shin height supports can be in a range that suites many different body types. As an example, we have found that for taller folks with larger feet have a shin height range between 16”,17”and 18”. For folks closer to 5’ in overall height and a smaller foot those shin support heights can be 15”,16” and 17”. Technically a shin support can be lower on the shin but not higher, having a shin support interfere with the full bending of the knee is to be avoided. In order to adjust the shin heights, you must partially dismantle the stilts and move the bolts into the appropriate holes on the bottom of the shin support pole.
